style=\"font-size: 16px;\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e1. まずは艤装品をチェック\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003eボートに設置しているロープクラッチやブロック、そしてウィンチのテーリングジョーなど、適合ロープサイズが決まっている部分は多くあります。まずは現実的に導入可能なロープサイズの範囲をお使いの艤装品の仕様から絞り込みましょう。\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: 16px;\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e2. 実際にかかる荷重の最大値\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e全てのラインにおける具体的な数値を算出するのは難しいかもしれませんが、艤装品の性能からある程度見当をつけることが出来ます。一般的なロープクラッチのラインホールド力は400〜600kg程度、カムクリートに至っては200kg前後のものが主流です。\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: 16px;\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e3. 「2の数値の20%以内」が適正ロープです\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e表を併せてご覧ください。最も伸長率の低いPBOは断裂時でも2.5%しか伸びないのに対し、最も伸長率の高いポリプロピレンは断裂時30%も伸長することが示されています。しかしながら、破断強度（および伸長率）が各上限値まで達することは一般的には考えにくいものです。\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e例1：シリウス500の10mmをクルーザーのメインハリヤードに使用する場合\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003eシリウス500（10mm）の破断強度は2,800kgに達しますが、実際に数トンもの荷重がかかっているとしたら、ロープよりもクラッチが破損します。2,800kg × 20% ＝ 560kgのため、仮にホールド力500kgのクラッチでこのハリヤードを固定出来ているのであれば、ハリヤードに「実際にかかっている荷重」はロープ性能の適正範囲内に十分収まっていることが確認出来ます。なお、この条件下ではポリエステルロープであるシリウス500の伸長率は最大で3%程度に収まります。\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e例2：バズラインの7mmを470のメインシートに使用する場合\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e表中でも最も傾斜が緩い（最大伸長率30%）ポリプロピレンロープですが、バスライン（7mm）を実際に30%伸長させるには790kg（破断強度）もの荷重をかける必要があります（その20%でも約160kg）。当然ながら、470のメインシートとして選手が腕力のみで引くラインにそのような荷重が加わることは現実的にはあり得ません。仮に20%（＝160kg）の荷重をかけたとしても、その時点での伸長率はわずか6%しかありません。ポリプロピレンロープの場合、このように実質的には高い伸長率はデメリットにならず、軽さ、柔軟さ、疎水性や浮上性といったメリットの恩恵が得られます。\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e時には伸長率がアドバンテージにも\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003eナイロンやポリプロピレンなどは、伸長率の高さをメリットとして利用する場合があります。係留ロープなどはその最たる例で、適正なサイズ選びにより十分なスプリング性能をロープ自体から得ることも出来ます。\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003c\/div\u003e
